Strake Jesuit is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, year-round staff position of School Nurse. Reporting to the Dean of Students, the School Nurse is responsible for assessing and addressing student health needs, managing acute and chronic conditions, and responding to emergencies, as well as maintaining accurate health records, coordinating health screenings, and ensuring compliance with immunization and communicable disease protocols. Additional responsibilities include counseling and guidance for students and families on health issues, collaborating with faculty and staff to promote a safe and healthy school environment, and overseeing supplies, equipment, and program needs. Candidates must possess strong communication, organizational, technical, and data management skills, maintain appropriate state certifications and current CPR/AED certification, and demonstrate the ability to work well with students, parents, faculty, and staff. A Registered Nurse (RN) with nursing and administrative experience is preferred.
