Strake Jesuit is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Head Swimming Coach. The Head swimming Coach will be a full-time member of the teaching faculty who provides leadership support to our athletic department, in addition to other coaching duties to be determined. 

Additional duties include: fostering good sportsmanship and character in student-athletes, supporting a positive coaching atmosphere, providing for the safety and welfare of student athletes, supporting and abiding by the athletic policies and rules of the school and the UIL, managing the program budget, supervising activities, and fully supporting a multi-sport athlete program.

A Bachelor’s Degree in the appropriate teaching area is required, with a Master’s Degree preferred. A working knowledge of the Society of Jesus and Jesuit education is preferred. Applicants should have a demonstrated ability to relate to and work well with others, possess excellent writing, speaking and communication skills, and have a strong proficiency with computers and technology. Candidates should possess outstanding swimming acumen, strong organizational and leadership skills, and an ability to interact with athletes, parents, faculty, staff and media. High school varsity coaching experience is preferred.
