Strake Jesuit is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Head Lacrosse Coach. Strake Jesuit is a Catholic school rooted in the tradition of the society of Jesus, assists young men in their formation as servant leaders and as Men for Others through a comprehensive program of intellectual, spiritual, and moral development for the greater glory of God. 

The Head Lacrosse Coach will be responsible for leading all aspects of a highly competitive THSLL Class A lacrosse program in a manner consistent with our mission. This position requires a coach who can build a strong program culture, develop student-athletes both individually and collectively, and form young men through discipline, accountability, teamwork, sportsmanship, and care.

The Head Lacrosse Coach will plan and lead practices, prepare the team for competition, develop offensive and defensive systems, review film, guide player development, and oversee game preparation and in-game coaching. The Head Coach will also supervise and support assistant coaches, coordinate program expectations, communicate effectively with students, parents, school leadership, and the athletic department, and help ensure that the lacrosse program is well organized throughout the fall, spring, and off-season. The Head Coach is expected to maintain high standards for student conduct, academic responsibility, safety, equipment accountability, and compliance with school policies and applicable Texas high school lacrosse rules.

The ideal candidate will have successful experience as a lacrosse coach and/or player, strong knowledge of the rules, skills, strategies, and training methods of the sport, and the ability to lead a competitive program while supporting the broader formation of student-athletes. The Head Lacrosse Coach must foster good sportsmanship and character, provide for the safety and welfare of student-athletes, support a positive and mission-aligned coaching atmosphere, work collaboratively with the athletic department, and fully support a multi-sport athlete program. Previous successful head coaching experience at the high school or club level is preferred.
